These minimum hardware and software requirements reflect the simplicity and light footprint of the Digipede Agent. When specifying a compute resource for a grid, the most important consideration is not the minimum requirements of Digipede Agent, but the requirements of your own workload. The Digipede Agent will help you take full advantage of any compute resource; please consult with the designers of the application(s) you plan to distribute on your grid for specific recommendations.

- ASP.NET 2.0 or later
- Team Edition installations of more than 10 agents require Microsoft Windows Server 2003, 2003 R2, 2008, 2008 R2, or 2012 for the Digipede Server.
Comments
These minimum hardware and software requirements are sufficient for a basic grid system. The Digipede Network uses Microsoft SQL Server as its underlying database; as your grid grows in terms of the number of agents and/or the amount of work processed, the performance of this database can benefit from higher-performance hardware. Please refer to Microsoft's recommendations regarding hardware for running SQL Server.
